Surprisingly good weather today on the hills given a fairly bleak forecast. A good ten miles this morning some of them accompanied by friends saving themselves for the afternoon’s race up to Rivington Pike.
This morning’s run took in Noon Hill – the view from the summit cairn across to the Pike

This afternoon Ian and I had a stroll back up to the Pike to watch the fell race 3.25 miles from Horwich up to Rivington Pike and back. The winner was Tom Cornthwaite, Northumberland Fellrunners who completed the race in 17mins 17 seconds. You can see Tom n action and holding his trophy in Ian's blog.
