A great weekend in Wales organised by fellow Rucksackers David and Lynne who provided great hospitality and good food. The venue was, Bryn Hafod which is the Stafford Mountain club's Hut set at the head of the magnificent Cwm Cywarch in the Aran Mountains of Mid Wales.
Travelling down on Friday afternoon we stopped off at the viewpoint on the highest pass in North Wales, Bwlch Groes and had a short walk out to Moel y Cerrig Duonn. We drove through some heavy showers, which had obviously fallen as snow on the high tops of the Arran mountains to the west of us.

Fortunately the rain kept off as we stretched our legs to visit the summit cairn which is a Nuttall ie a summit over 2,000ft above sea level.
