‘Amble’ Reccy

Great morning out reccying the Anglezarke Amble which takes place next Saturday.  I was keen to take another look at one or two places on the route as I haven’t run over them for a while.  Six set out, but with injuries and time commitments only two of us completed a sixteen mile run over part of the route.

Couldn’t believe the glorious conditions when setting off to drive over to Rivington this morning - stunning blue skies and sunshine.  Stopped for a couple of shots of the local farm on my way with the sun just coming up from behind them.

Rivington Pike

Our route skirted Winter Hill on the western side, so we were in the shadows for a while but the ‘alpen glow’ on the moors where we were heading was a stunning sight.
