The Pike was alive with folk as usual on Good Friday. Sunny and bright but with an icy easterly wind. The usual array of burger vans and hot dog stalls accompanied the bouncy castles and children’s attractions. Most climbed up to the tower and enjoyed excellent views out across the Lancashire plain to Liverpool Bay. There’s always plenty to see!
I was lucky to catch this young guy as he vaulted the fence with style
No sign of a a thaw yet then
Frozen paths across to Winter Hill
and a nice cup o’tea
Taking a break
Looking across the fair from the path up to the Pike
Something of interest
Everybody’s up for the views
All the fun of the fair!
On the way down
