Winter Hill – Saturday

Lovely morning on the moors with Julie, Ed and Gordon.  Cleared a fallen tree from one of the paths in the Chinese Gardens – good deed done.  On and up over Rivington Pike, over to Two Lads and up to the trigpoint on Winter Hill.  From the summit down to Horderns Stoop where the marshalls were setting up the checkpoint for the White Bear Way LDWA event.  Up onto Spitler’s Edge before heading out to find the summit of Old Adam before returning over Spitler’s and down to the ruins of Hempshaws farm before heading back via Dangerous corner to the Lower Barn.

The highlight of the run was getting a shot of a Meadow Pipit chick – obviously been watching too much Springwatch!
