Exceptionally clear conditions for our run over Winter Hill tonight. We were able to pick out the Lakeland fells of Black Coombe, the Langdale Pikes and Scafell and Mickledore 115 miles north. With Snowdonia and Anglesey were clearly visible out to the south west and Cadair Idris 103 miles away. Unfortunately the camera couldn’t quite pick this up.
Looking out to sea – beyond Southport about 25 miles away
Scotsmans Stump – commemorating the murder of a travelling salesman of the 19th century
