Langdale Fell Race - Saturday 11th October

 

Out on the race route to support friends racing and with Ian still struggling with a knee problem and not racing, it was good to have company.  This classic Lakeland fell race of 13 miles and almost five thousand feet of ascent was a true test for the runners with the heavy rain earlier in the day making for very slippery conditions on the wet rocks resulting in a few nasty accidents.  Conditions improving and by the time we returned to the race finish glorious sunshine bathed the valley of Great Langdale.

  2. I followed race then came down off Bowfell the way you went up - must have passed you somewhere - probably in the mist
